Subway Rats

Welcome to Subway Rats, and even though you may not think so because of the title, it is not about rats. xD
It is indeed about canines, and in this case, stray dogs.

FIRST we'll have to build up the characters. Help me fill the list! Maybe 10-15ish? You are allowed multiple characters.

This isn't going to start out like a normal roleplay though because this has to begin a certain way for the whole story to make sense.

First the dogs are on the street being chased by a dog catcher. That's as far as we'll go now.

Cricket and Canada were lounging on the side of the streets, chewing random scraps they had found in the alleyways. The sky was dark, and strangely enough, the city streets were bare. Canada had wondered why they were all gone, but Cricket was totally carefree.

"Catch anything yet?" Cricket hollered over to Minuet, a female wolf/husky/saluki mix. She made a face at him because he was mocking her. Minuet could never catch anything, but she couldn't say anything about it either, because she was mute.

Ammer sighed, grumbling quietly to himself as he silently slinked down the sidewalk, black ears layed flat on his head. He glared to the ground, and glanced around every once and awhile. Ammergron was usually quiet anyways. The black, brown, and white mutt turned the corner, spotting three dogs on the side of the streets. His ears perked slightly as he stopped to watch them briefly.

OOC: So..err, will they all be sorta together? Like..before the dog catcher comes? xD Or somehow will the dog catcher round them all up? xD

Nolen shook her head, glancing around. "Drew! Come on, get over here. Al'ight, so here's the plan: I'll get the man, you grab the hotdogs, m'kay?" the small, dog/fox/ mix ordered, smirking. "As usual," she murmered, but to softly for Drew to hear.

Drew rolled his eyes. "Yes sargent." he mocked, sighing. "Let's get it overwith, I'm starving." he muttered.

OOC: Erm. I'll wait for the answer- then I'll play Lynn. C:

Nicholas turned his head and snarled and Cricket. "Shut it," he said. "What is it to you to mock her?"
He was was fond of Minuet. She reminded him of his mate, who had been seperated years before.
He tuned his head to her and smiled slightly, while throwing some of his meal to her. He finished his share and slowly walked out off into the city streets, to find the rest of his pack.

OOC: Well, I guess they can all know each other. But for those who didn't post yet, you can choose if your character already knows ours or not. x]

"Hehehe, chill out man, I'm sure she can take a joke," Cricket replied coolly and scratched his ear with his back leg.

Minuet wished she could thank Nicholas, but instead she smiled at him and started picking at the food she was given.

Cricket watched him leave. "What's his hurry?" he wondered out loud and looked at Canada. But Canada's mind was elsewhere. He heard distant noises of other dogs talking. He could just barely make out their words...

Numbr nodded to Drew-he nodded back. Lone, Numbr raced up to the hotdog stand, leaping onto the surprised hotdog man, thrilled. She let out a loud laugh, sinking her teeth lightly into the man's shoulder for grip. She was shaken around, but was used to it.

As soon as the man was distracted, Drew raced forewards, and stole two hotdogs neat and ready on the stand. Then, he ran. The man managed to whip Numbr off, and she landed, cursing. "Run!" Numbr hollered to Drew, who was already. She scuttled to her paws, and shot off after him.

Ammer heard the commotion, and watched quietly from the sidelines, before following up on Drew and Numbr. "Better than scraps," he commented cooly, as he strode up to pace next to them, glancing back at the hotdog man, who was quickly left behind.

OOC: M'kay. Oh, and all three are real close to Minuet, Cricket, and Canada.

OOC: Wait so from where my characters are, can they see Ammer, Nolen, Drew and Numbr?

OOC: Yep, pretty much. xD

Nicholas shook his head, what was he going to do about Cricket? . "Don't get me wrong," he mumbled to himself. "I like cricket but I could do without some of his smart alec comments..."
All of a sudden he heard some barking in the distance and turned to look at a small group of dogs running towards him.

(Can I join as one of my new characters White Water? and maybe McCandless?)

Dozing in and out of the conversation, Xanders was laying sprawled out in the sun. He didn't really feel like moving around a lot today. Unless there was going to be food, of course...He opened one eye and watched the commotion going on between Numbr, Drew, and the hotdog guy.

Xanders was a pretty big dude--an estrela mountain dog, with cropped, pointed ears. His face and front legs were black, and the other half of his body was tan.

"Hey, hope you're plannin' on sharing those hotdogs, right?" Xanders called, smiling teasingly.

White Water saw her target, she was going in for the kill.

From her perch atop a pickup truck she watched the whole episode unfold down the street, and as the dog Numbr and two others came within her area she jumped off the truck and landed behind them. She snagged a single hot dog link as she gave an adrenaline-induced boost of speed past the dogs, it was going to get tricky after that because she knew she wasnt the fastest on the block. But her wits picked up where her speed lacked.

(White Water is an Aidi dog (morrocan sheep dog). Shes creamy white with fluffy shaggy medium length fur with fluffy ears almost like short saluki ears. Black spots over one eye, both ears and around butt area)

Numbr was just about to reply to Xanders, when a hotdog link was stolen out of her maw. She wheeled around, cursing at the dog, and sprinting after her, well on White Water's heels. Numbr wasn't very fast, but she was average.

Drew's eyes widened, and he glanced around before joining Numbr on the chase.

Ammer smirked, but stayed silent, and wasn't up for a chase, anyways. He just sat down and waited.

White Water picked up her pace, her eyes widened. She saw an out, it was a tall fence with barbed wire at the top enclosing a car dealership. she made a beeline toward the fence.

Cricket sprung up and looked around the corner to watch the case. "Ohoho," he laughed. "Theif theif!"
Canada raised an eyebrow.

White Water hit the fence with all four of her feet in an attemt to scale it. She didnt reach the top though and fell back to the ground, landing on her side.

Numbr grinned at the other dog's failed attempt. She leaped at White Water, tackling the bigger dog. After all, Numbr wasn't exactly full dog. She had some fox in her, and a bit of cat- even some wolf. Snarling, she ripped the hot dog out of White Water's maw, tossing it to Drew, who caught it.

Ammer glanced at Cricket, and smirked at his comment, keeping his cold eyes on the 'fight'- more like: 'Numbr attack'.

"Ever heard of 'thoughts before actions?'" Numbr smirked, rolling her eyes and hopping off the dog.

"Phew chould've jhust ahkesd." Drew said through three hotdogs.

OOC: "You could've just asked."

White Water snarled, "but what fun would taht be?" she struggled to her feet. "Just getting by, you know how it is."

"White Water!" A frail voice came from across the street and a tawny gray and white dog flew across the street.

"McCandless I told you to stay put!" White Water sighed.
"I was gonna, but then i saw you..." McCandless paused, staring at the others.
