Subway Rats

Numbr let out a growl in disgust under her breath, cursing. She stepped back as the new dog entered, and found her place next to Drew. "McCandless? What kind of name is that!!?" she held back laughter, grinning, then nudged Drew. "Come on,"

Drew sighed, rolling his eyes. He set down one of the hot dogs. "Don't mind her, she's a brat." he rolled his eyes as she batted him, then nudged the hot dog he dropped towards the two, then turned and followed Numbr back to Ammer.

McCandless stayed silent. she took the hot dog in her mouth. "thanks" she said.

"Actually it is quite an honorable name. Youd know that if you were someone who knew ANYTHING." White Water snapped.

Suddenly, a cluster of dogs (meaning the anyone not any of SOH or Starsh's characters) came running down the sidewalk.

"DOGCATCHER, RUN!" yelled Canada from the front of the group.

McCandess started running. "Whats a dogcatcher?" she huffed.

"havent got a clue." White Water breathed as they ran in the direction the other pack of dogs were going.

"Dogcatcher?" Xanders loped after the others. "Again? No way. Nope, don't believe this." He looked over his shoulder, sighed, and ran with the rest.

"whats a dog catcher?" White Water ran alongside Xanders. letting McCandless steam ahead.

"D***!" Numbr grumbled, sprinting along with the other dogs. Ammer, shocked, raced after the others, though fell behind slightly.

OOC: This is where Lynn comes in. xD

Lynn was one of those dogs. The lean mutt stretched out, racing at her full speed, and trying to get infront of the other dogs frantically. Eyes narrowed, she glanced behind her once, catching up to Numbr, and slowly comming infront.

Drew lagged slightly, thinking about attacking the dogcatcher.

"Oh, dogcatchers are silly people with OCD and nothing better to do than run around shanking dogs allll the time," he made a face, panting as he ran. "No, but really, you don't want to end up on the wrong end of those poles they use to catch us..they take you in, take you away from everything, and who knows what happens after that, ugh." He ran a little faster. He wasn't stupid, and he wasn't about to be caught by some dogcatcher, not if he could help it...

ooc: dogcatchers use poles to get dogs right? o3o i think i remember them using some pole-net-thing once on animal cops, idk XD

OOC: Yeah, but I think it has a different name. We can just call it poles, though. XD

Ammer smirked at Xanders's exsplanation of a dogcatcher, then added: "Sometimes, they'll kill you." he uttered, scowling as he glanced back.

Lynn glanced behind her at the two males talking. "Don't waste your breath, fellas. Get moving!" she called back.

Minuet looked worriedly back at the dog catcher, but she was doing fine because she was so fast. In fact, the whole group seemed to be getting away. "Quick, down there!" called Cricket, there was a stairway going down to a subway, they might be able to make it if they went down.

McCandless chugged on. "lets take a fast right here, well lose any human for sure." she took a sharp right and disappeared from view.

White Water took the right and found herself at the top of some steep stairs that appeared in the sidewalk. she tumbled down the first flight then regained her footing and ran clumsily down the stairs. "Mickey! Where are we going?" White Water hollered.

"just trust me!"

OOC: SOH, if you could please, could you have them go down into the subway? That's what this whole roleplay is based on. Going down into the subway, hence the name. x]

Minuet jumped to the bottom of the stairs and looked around for a place to hide when Canada and Cricket rushed past her and nearly knocked her over.

McCandless came to a bunch of toll booths with turnstyles. she ran underneath the turnstyles (thats what theyre called right?) and toward the subway drop of the tracks.

"WOW!" White Water paused in the middle of the lobby. looking at the never-ending track up and down. then continued to follow McCandless for a place to hide.

Nicholas walked slowly to the group of dogs he saw ahead. Wondering what was going on.

McCandless found an open service door and hid behind it. peering through the crack where door met wall. White Water hid with her.

Marrz was fast asleep next to a toll booth, she never noticed the two dogs pass by her. Then they started talking, which made her eyes flicker open. She peeked through and saw the dogs, she then walked out. "What are you guys doing?" She asked in sort of a whisper tone.

Numbr hopped down the stairs, racing down into the subway station. Snarling to herself as she passed some of the others, she paused for a moment, before launching herself right off the side, onto the tracks. "Come on!" she yelled up to the others.

Ammer glanced at the other dogs, then behind him. The dogcatcher was making his way down the stairs. The brown, black, and white mutt glared down at Numbr, and the other dogs that she had joined. "You crazy!?"

"We already had that coversation, Am. Yes! Now get down here!" Numbr yelled.

Ammer sighed, glancing back again before leaping down onto the tracks. Drew stopped at the edge of them, glaring off into the darkness. "Eh...it's the only way." he quickly observed the surroundings- no exit. He looked at the other dogs, beckoning them to the subway tracks.

"Holy Crumb!" Lynn yelped, as she skidded to a halt at the edge. "What are you doing?! You guys are suicidal!...Your gonna' get hit, die, then get hit again, and ag-"

"Get the hell down here." Numbr cut her off with a snap.

"Well this was real smart, making our escape into a dark subway with no other exits," Xanders said, peering over the small ledge to the subway tracks below. He jumped down and waited for the others. Now what? Do subway trains even come through this particular station? Thinking about it made his stomach flip. "We are so screwed man," Xanders moaned.

OOC: UFF, the dog catcher wasn't supposed to make it down into the subway but OH WELL. We can work by this. xD

Cricket, Canada, and Minuet followed the others through the subway tunnel until they reached the end, luckily without any trains coming by. Canada hopped back up onto the ground. "Good, I don't think he'll follow us over here..." he panted.
Suddenly sirens started going off and red lights started blinking. Minuet jumped and Cricket looked around for some sort of answer. "What the hell is going on?!" he barked.
"Lockdown, lockdown" said a robotic voice coming from a speaker on the ceiling.

Marrz looked back and saw the dogcatcher coming, "Crap!" She knew she had been seen and ran to follow tho others, "Mind if I join you?" She caught up easily with her long, boney legs.

Cricket cursed. "What good would it do him to try and catch us now, we're all trapped in a freaking subway station!" he snarled angrily and sped forward. "Through the next tunnel!" Canada yelled.
