Subway Rats

(okay wait, is everyone together or are some seperated? :/ )

Marrz sighed since no one answered and just kept following them anyway.

McCandless froze. this dogcatcher man was right in front of the door, about to open it further. she pressed herself against the wall, Suddenly, white water rushed out from behind the door and squeezed through the man's legs and leaped down into the subway tunnel.

McCandless did the same, but the man wasnt about to make the same mistake and grabbed McCandless by the tail. "AHH! HELP!" She yelped

White Water was on the mans arm in a white blur, she clamped down so hard that he instantly let McCandless go and the two of them disappeared into the tunnel blaring with red lights.

"maybe this wasnt a good idea." McCandless yelled over the sirens.

"Too late to consider other options." White Water sniffed the ground as she ran. "The rest of them went this way, well catch up to them soon." Sure enough they made out figures straight ahead. "HEY! WAIT FOR US!"

Marrz looked back and stopped, "Hurry! Theres probably more coming because of the sirens! Did you guys make them go off?" She asked and ran along side them once they caught up.

"Heck no! we narrowly escaped the dogcatcher, then ran down here. we hid behind a door." White Water defended.

McCandless looked around. "does this mean a train is coming?" she said.

"Oh my god.." Marrz perked her ears to hear in the distance. Sure enough she heard the clicking of the train far in the distance, "ARE THEY TRYING TO KILL US!! EVEYONE!! TRAIN!!" Marrz yelled and got to the side

White Water froze in fear for a second. "Well where do we go? theres no way were gonna outrun the subway!"

"Ive been down here before, just push yourself hard against the wall. Thats what I've always done. I like down here so I know about everything." Marrz repeated what she just said while yelling it to the others.

White Water did so tenativley, McCandless did too. "I dont know about this..." She worried.

"Trust me. I wouldnt be risking my life to kill some stray dogs, okay?" Marrz didnt turn to look at them, she knew if the subway came, her head would be taken with it.

McCandless rolled her eyes and squashed up against the wall.

Now that eveyone was against the wall, the subway was way louder than before, "Alright, everyone stay calm and do not move from your position on the wall." Marrz yelled over the sound

Drew pressed himself agenst the wall, sighing. He held his breath, glancing at he other dogs worridly. As did Lynn.

Ammer nodded in agreement with Marrz, eyes intently on the darkness, exspecting the subway to tunnel through any second. "Prepare for the worst!" he hollered to the other dogs.

Numbr quickly pressed herself up agenst the wall, eyes wide.

The train went by.

McCandless pressed herself harder against the wall, she could feel the metal of the train inches from her face but didnt dare open her eyes. her legs started to shake with fatigue, it felt like the train was trying to rip her from the wall like a bandaid.

Cricket, Canada, and Minuet were all pushed up against the wall. Canada was starting to feel claustrophobic. The train seemed to never pass by.

Xanders pressed tight against the wall. He'd never stayed so still, but it seemed to come easlily with a train barreling past him just inches from his face. So subway trains did run through here. There would probably be more, then. Xan gritted his teeth. How did such a ordinary day turn out like this?

Marrz looked ahead, the train suddenly stopped. "What in the world?" Marrz said aloud. She scooted along the wall then bent down where there was a shadow and no lights were shining on her, "Everyone get into the shadows, I fear there are dog catchers on this train."

"What? He can't be on the train," Canada wheezed. "He was just... he was just... I didn't hear it stop or anything," His side was beginning to hurt from pressing up against the wall so hard.

"What if he has a device that lets him contact other dogcatchers quickly? What if he did it when he first saw you guys?" Marrz explained her thoughts.

"thats stupid. humans arent THAT smart." White Water yelled over the holler of the train. The subway finally completley passed by.

"Is there like an oasis or something in here where we can be off the tracks?" McCandless stepped back onto the tracks.

"Finally," Xanders breathed, slumping over. That was one long train. How were they gonna get out of here?

White Water found a puddle of water dripping from a pipe and drank from it.

McCandless "Maybe we should go back to the lobby..." She said.

"but what if the dogcatcher is still there?" White Water looked up from her drink, water dripping from her flues.

"Man, you know he probably is," Cricket remarked. "I think we should keep going, maybe there's another way out," He hopped down onto the tracks and Canada and Minuet shortly after him.

Marrz spoke up, "I've actually never been down this whole subay before. It could take us days so get out by foot."
